Our story began in Appleton, Arkansas, well over a century ago, with the marriage of Stephen Walker Tucker and Martha Jane Henderson in 1889. Stephen was born in Arkansas, but his family had come from Kentucky in the 1850s. Martha was born in Tennessee, and her family had moved to Arkansas around 1880.  To honor each of their families, I am in the process of compiling a set of Ancestor Biographies.  From the Biography Bar on this page, you can read the ones I currently have available.  More will be added as time allows. 

 

Stephen and Martha had at least 14 children, though only 11 of their names survived the passing of time. Another two died before reaching adulthood. The remaining nine, 6 girls and 3 boys, are the progenitors of our own individual lines. To keep up with the descendants of these nine, we have created a live spreadsheet for you to add your name and relationship.  If you are a descendant, check to make sure your name is on this list, and please add any of your immediate relatives who are not.  Click on the link below, and follow the instructions.
